be alive and bowl
OMG! i've neglecting my humble blog for quite some time liaoz...haiz...i really been busy with activities and assignments...when there's spare time, i found myself slouching at my sofa, watching tv & taking a rest instead =P alright...to compensate, i'll blog more...hope u wont get bored! =)let's rewind back to ytd! it's nus FST annual gathering for undergraduates, postgraduates, graduates, alumni and staff at safra yishun country club!(yesh! it's at the north area!) year ones (my batch) are kindly invited to this special event! it's actually a bowling competition cum buffet gathering...so i went with some of my fst mates...actually i do dread going becos i suck at bowling though i neva play b4...or shld i say i'm afraid my ball will land up on the 'long kang' & embarrass myself...haiz...BUT...i do have beginner's luck! Wahahaz...though there were still 'long kang' moments, but i rmb i got a spare and a strikes in 2 games! The more i play bowling, the more interesting it becomes! hahahaz...now i like bowling liaoz...so if there's any bowling outings...count me in!!!
when it's buffet time, all of us were already famished! it was really a nice experience for us as we could dine together..get to know each other better! btw...i found the food delicious that i went to take 2nd serving...hahaz...there's also a short speech by Prof Zhou, director of FST programme and prize presentation. we the yr ones were welcome to the fst family and tat's really cool. Many prizes were given out for the competition. our batch managed to swept away some awards...hehez...after all the fun, we still wanted more! so we headed to northpoint timezone and play arcade-bonding time! hahaz...juz realised we are all arcade fans! =)

ALIVE! it's an 'amazing race-styled' competition tat i participated with my og mates last week. it's organised by the sci club to create awareness on volunteering work and to care for the disabled ppl...it's a great bonding time for us cos i really thank god for knowing them...if not for my og mates, i think my uni life will be diastrous! hahaz...the day started with a heavy rain tat caused 6 teams to be down to onli 3 teams participating...so we were confirmed to be in top 3 positions...hahahz...1st-$200 cash, 2nd-$150 cash, 3rd-$100 cash! hehez...money is also part of the reason for joining...so we could have subsidy for our dinner at the end of the day...but it was a tough competition as we were the onli freshman grp and the seniors looked 'ruthless'...hahahz...we ran around the west area of s'pore ( haiz...totally clueless abt the west!)...completing tasks like writing, wearing socks and sms without the use of thumb, arcade basketball, drawing with with mouth or blindfolded, finding 5 ppl from the public to treat us drinks for free, guessing game, putting up a skit and many more...we were tired but had hell of fun! Even though we came in last cos we came back last (so we got less pts)...we were the onli grp to complete all tasks! anyway...we still got $100 cash! in conjunction to tat...we had to take photos for remembrance!

while waiting for dinner (starving state), all of us slacked at the benches...talking & listening to songs...before we headed to our dinner destination...buffet at Sakura! it's really quite expensive for one pax so luckily we got $100 to subsidise...it's really damn enjoyable to eat together with plates of delicious international cooked food, ranging from yummy seafood to super nice cakes! we ate very very full to make our money worthwhile! =)
been busy with sch stuff these days...i can dare to say tat ppl in sci fac have the most hmwrk! cos we gotta to do lab reports & tutorials wrksheets! i'd experienced my 3 labs already...one for chem, one for life sci and last one for fst...it'd been quite uneasy for me since i dun enjoy lab work and all my skills were rusty already...luckily it's pair work or i'll die...it's completely different from jcs! (now i understand wat ping is going thru in poly!) we have to google to find answers...find references and construct tables and plot graphs...omg...i'm still not getting used to it...practically no time to revise properly either...my arts modules are terrifying too...i really need to read up alot for political sci (which i've no time! havent even finish reading my lit texts!)...i noe too little! stress stress!
back on a happy note...let's yak abt cca...recently...i juz completed the basic beginners' course for wushu...knowing some basic kicks, punches and jumps. currently, i'm also learning to use weapons...my fren & i chose sword as our weapon...hahaz...we are practising a new swordplay called 'San Duan Jian' (3 broken sword?) my fren and i became quite devoted to wushu cos we attended every single sessions...and we actually joined the small wushu committe as welfare heads! (yeah! finally can do some welfare stuff since sec 2)...even the president felt tat we suited the positions as we were very chatty...hahaz...i also went to join some sub comms of the sci club...ahhh...am i having too many ccas? =P
hmmm...wat a long entry! so are ya satisfied and forgive me for lagging my posts? hehez...there's one more week to go before recess week which is actually a one week holiday break...but probably gonna spend some time at home and study (& relax a bit like going for outings)...cos loads of tests coming up after tat! soooo scary! on ya...after being in uni for abt 1 month...i met up with some ex chung cheng ppl tat i dun really know...but they somehow recognise me! omg! i thought i was quite low profile during sec sch days...or izzit i didnt change much lahz?
